JOY OF GIVING! ROADCAST DELIVERS HAPPINESS!!

In today’s fast-paced world, the essence of Christmas can sometimes get overshadowed by commercial festivities. The core of this season, however, lies in sharing and giving selflessly.

The magic of Christmas doesn’t come from what we receive but from what we give. Giving during Christmas transcends material presents. Acts of generosity, whether grand or humble, have the power to create memories that last far beyond December. Most meaningful gifts often come from the heart.

Roadcast believes in embracing generosity year-round, with regular acts of kindness, volunteering and donating to worthy causes.

This year, Roadcast took the initiative to visit Divine Light Special School that focuses on specially abled children, to spread the Joy of Giving!

A team of volunteers from the Company, visited the school, carrying gifts to be shared with the children. The team was not prepared for the experience they had at the school. The sheer enthusiasm of the children took them by surprise.

Here’s how they interacted

1. The children were handed over sheets of paper and drawing materials. They drew images of Santa Claus which they gifted to the volunteers!

2. The volunteers interacted with the children, through conversations, getting to know them. The children enthusiastically shared their thoughts and experiences.

3. Singing carols was next on the agenda, Jingle bells being the favourite.

4. What came next was a sheer surprise. Dancing with gay abandon, the children dragged in the volunteers to shake a leg!

5. The volunteers then shared the gifts as well as some snacks, which they loved.

At the end of the day, the overall experience was an overwhelming one for the volunteers. What struck them most was the sheer happiness exhibited by the children. For the children, a visit by someone to interact with them, was clearly a memorable occasion.

Ways to Embrace the Joy of Giving

1. Give Time, Not Just Gifts- Time is one of the most precious gifts you can offer. Spend quality time with family, friends, or someone who might be lonely. Volunteer at local shelters, old-age homes, or schools.

2. Donate to a Cause- Christmas is the perfect time to support causes that resonate with you. Donate clothes, toys, food, or money to charities, orphanages, or families in need.

3. Teach the Spirit of Giving- Instil the importance of giving in the next generation. Encourage children to share their toys, teaching them the importance of kindness.

Remember, the joy of giving is the greatest gift of all. Not just this Christmas, but all year round, give not just from your wallet but from your heart.

Merry Christmas and Happy Giving!
